01 · Mission
What I’m building
Armenia has been making wine for 6,000 years, and almost everything still has to be rebuilt. That’s why I came.
In the Soviet era, vines gave way to brandy. Native grapes held on in a few village plots and a few stubborn cellars. Armenia now wants its place back in the history of wine. What it lacks is appellations: a framework that protects its regions, its grapes and the people who grow them, and gives its wines a recognised origin.

Bandol, Provence
In Bandol, Mourvèdre is the signature grape: it gives the rosés their structure and staying power. The whites come from other Provençal varieties, such as Clairette. Here are two wines I offer to restaurants, wine shops and private buyers.
